This is my quick alternative to Chicken Manchurian, My husband loves Indo-Chinese Manchurian and it takes me a while to make it so I make this instead- a happy replacement without deep frying..:D

Cooking Time: 30 mins

Serving: 6

Ingredients:

  1. 1lb Chicken (Cut to small cubes)
  2. 3 tsp Soy Sauce (Available in International/Asian/Indian Stores)
  3. 3 tsp Green Chilli Sauce (Available in International/Asian/Indian Stores)
  4. 3 tsp Vinegar (Available in International/Asian/Indian Stores)
  5. 3 stalks Curry Leaves (Available in International/Asian/Indian Stores)
  6. 2 tsp Crushed black pepper
  7. 3 Serrano Peppers ( Green Chilly) Chopped
  8. 1/2 Shallot (White Onion) Cut to good size cube
  9. 4 pods Garlic Chopped
  10. 1/2 inch Ginger Chopped

Directions:

  1. In a wok add 1 tbsp oil
  2. Add chopped Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilly /Serrano Peppers, 1 stalk of Curry leaves
  3. Saute until the garlic is  almost golden brown
  4. Add the Chopped Shallots
  5. After the shallot is translucent add the chicken
  6. Add Soy Sauce and Green Chilly sauce
  7. Cook until the Chicken is cooked
  8. Add the other 2 stalks of Curry leaves, crushed black pepper cook another 10 mins
  9. Turn off and add Vinegar mix well and Done!

(Note: No need to add salt, soy sauce has enough salt)
